Sealed is a limited card format that is easy to get up and running. Each player in the event gets booster packs and builds a deck with these guidelines: 5 Booster Packs 40 Card Deck Minimum - Remaining cards are used as a sideboard No Affinity restrictions No duplicate limit

Setup Rules

  • Receive Packs: During the event, the organizer will give each participant a minimum of 5 booster packs from the same set(s). Each player receives the same amount of cards.
  • Build Decks: Players will then have a certain amount of time to open the packs, look at their cards, and build at least a 40-card deck with no affinity or duplicate restrictions.
  • Round Robin or Double Elim: Players will take turns playing each other in a chosen bracket until the set amount of rounds has been achieved. For smaller parties, Round Robin works great. For a larger tournament, consider Double Elimination.
  • Sideboarding: Extra cards not added to your deck can be swapped in and out between matches.
